Blood Pressure Management Program

The group coaching setting is ideal for users who thrive as part of a team.
Manage your chronic disease in a small, private group setting (10 max) with peers experiencing similar circumstances.

What does the program entail?

  • 8 weeks of intensive engagement.

  • 1x weekly customized educational webinars covering an array of stress management and nutrition topics relevant to heart disease management and lifestyle changes.

  • Access to a team that understands your needs, traumas, and connection to your race, culture, and ethnicity and how this is important to healing our bodies. 

  • Three sessions with our Nutritionist and personal trainer to:

    • Identify and work through food triggers and addictions 

    • Identify nutrient gaps contributing to your high blood pressure

    • Learn how being fully nourished can help you lose weight

    • Learn healthy versions of cultural dishes 

    • Identify and work through food struggles or confusion

  • Biweekly check-ins with a licensed therapist to: 

    • Identify and understand stressors that could be impacting your blood pressure

    • Gain an understanding of why past and current traumas prevent us from calming down and can raise our blood pressure. 

    • Improve emotional wellbeing through understanding the importance of emotions 

    • Learn how stress happens in our body and through our nervous system

    • 1:1 work with therapist to reduce stress in nervous system 

    • Learn specific nervous system exercises that will help reduce stress and lower blood pressure over time.

You will also receive: 

  • A blood pressure monitor

  • Access to the Oben app to track your blood pressure 

  • Text-based communication with the health coach for accountability, and support

  • Weekly lecture series

  • Private Facebook group with other participants for peer support

  • Access to a library of content related to exercise, nutrition, and local resources

  • A progress report of blood pressure both midway and upon program completion
